Role Purpose

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer (RAMON), you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and executing automated test frameworks and scripts primarily using Pythonwithin our CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps, QA and product owners to ensure high quality of our software systems. You will bring your deep test automation expertise along with a solid software engineering mindset, enabling scalable, robust, maintainable test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites (unit, integration, system, end-to-end) using Python and modern test automation tools.
  • Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipelines (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) ensuring smooth build, test, and release workflows.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to define test strategies, identify test automation opportunities, and ensure testability.
  • Work independently and proactively to deliver high-quality automation deliverables on schedule, while adapting to evolving requirements.
  • Identify, document and track defects, work with engineering to verify bug fixes and ensure resolution.
  • Ensure test coverage, reliability and stability of automated test suites; analyze failures and flakiness, propose improvements.
  • Mentor and coach less-senior team members in test automation best practices, frameworks, and tools.
  • Keep up to date with emerging testing tools, frameworks, methodologies, and share learnings throughout the team.
  • Communicate effectively (in written and spoken English) with global teams, stakeholders and across disciplines to align on test automation goals, results and metrics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools and ways of working in the QA/test automation domain.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computational Engineering, Information & Communication Technology, or a comparable discipline.
  • 3–6 years of proven work experience in test automation using Python and current standard test frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles (e.g., modular design, code quality, version control, design patterns).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, tools and ecosystems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Independent, goal-oriented working style and proactive mindset.
  • High eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Desired Skills & Additional Competencies

  • Experience with Python test frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest, behave) and test automation tooling (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, custom frameworks).
  • Experience dealing with test automation for web, APIs, microservices and/or embedded systems.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and working with DevOps culture.
  • Familiarity with containers (e.g., Docker), orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and cloud (AWS, Azure) would be a plus.
  • Experience with metrics and dashboards to track test automation health and coverage.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading small test automation efforts or teams.
  • Strong debugging skills, rootcause analysis and the ability to propose technical solutions to complex testing challenges.
