Job Description

Job Description and key skills:

  • Proactively monitor Splunk infrastructure (indexers, search heads, forwarders) for performance, availability, and data integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents independently; escalate complex issues to L3 when necessary.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings for major incidents.
  • Manage and optimize Splunk configurations , , , etc.).
  • Handle user provisioning, access control, and role-based permissions.
  • Monitor indexing latency, ingestion rates, and storage utilization; address performance bottlenecks.
  • Execute controlled deployments of apps, add-ons, and configuration updates.
  • Collaborate with data owners and analysts to validate and troubleshoot data onboarding.
  • Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate Splunk with tools like ServiceNow, Git, Jenkins, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of monitoring practices

  • Splunk Core Certified User / Splunk Core Certified Power User
  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin
  • Splunk Cloud Certified Admin

Total Experience Expected: 04-06 years

Qualification

B.E. /B Tech in IT or Computer Engineering.
