Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer based in Chennai. The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and optimizing mechanical, electrical, and product designs using CAD software. Day-to-day tasks will include collaborating with other engineers, conducting research and analysis, and ensuring designs meet industry standards and customer requirements. Additionally, the role involves supporting the manufacturing team and assisting with the erection and commissioning of projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Design Engineer in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
  • Essential Software Proficiency:
     High level of skill in 3D CAD Design Software, including 
    AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Autodesk Inventor
    .
  • Domain Knowledge:
  • Strong practical knowledge of 
    sheet metal design and fabrication
     processes.
  • Experience in designing 
    heavy machinery
     components and industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with the design of 
    industrial pumps
    , pipelines, and allied works is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes (like welding and machining), and mechanical principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical details clearly.
  • A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
