Role Objective:

To ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems by planning, executing, and optimizing maintenance activities. The role involves preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor routine and preventive maintenance activities for assigned area (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation).
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions to ensure minimal production loss.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules, work orders, and spare parts lists in coordination with operations and planning teams.
  • Support turnaround (TA) and shutdown activities including planning, resource mobilization, and execution within timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and internal stakeholders for maintenance and reliability improvements.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records, reports, and documentation in CMMS or SAP systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, energy optimization, and reliability improvement.
  • Support workshop activities, including equipment overhauling, fabrication, and testing.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major breakdowns and recommend long-term solutions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge in respective discipline (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation).
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (SAP PM / CMMS).
  • Understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Hands-on experience in shutdown and turnaround maintenance planning.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–8 years of relevant maintenance experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
