Boiler Dcs Engineer

Boiler engineers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Ensuring that equipment is operating efficiently and safely by conducting tests and monitoring equipment performance
• Inspecting equipment for signs of damage or wear and making recommendations for repairs or replacement of parts
• Conducting research on new technologies related to engineering disciplines such as computerized controls, automation, and solar energy
• Conducting tests on steam turbine generators, feedwater heaters, pumps, and other equipment to ensure that they are operating within specified tolerances
• Maintaining records of boiler operation and making adjustments as needed to keep equipment running smoothly
• Operating and monitoring the operation of boilers, including performing inspections and maintenance on boilers and surrounding equipment
• Performing calculations of energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions associated with various fuel sources for various industrial sectors
• Assessing the efficiency of boilers in order to determine when they will need to be replaced or reheated
• Inspecting boilers to make sure they are safe to operate and performing repairs as needed
