Server Engineer

As a Server Engineer, you will architect and develop robust backend services that power our games and platforms. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define APIs, optimize performance, and ensure seamless integration across systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services
  • Define and implement API contracts in collaboration with front-end and game development teams
  • Optimize performance and reliability of server-side components
  • Manage and scale cloud infrastructure using AWS or GCP
  • Work with large datasets across relational and NoSQL databases
  • Integrate caching mechanisms using Redis
  • Ensure high availability and security of backend systems
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in backend development
  • Strong proficiency in PHP
  • Bonus: Experience with Java
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with Redis for caching and performance optimization
  • Expertise in database design and handling large datasets in MySQL, Postgres, Couchbase, or DynamoDB
  • Proven experience in defining APIs and working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in game development or gaming platforms
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
