Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled
Welding Engineer
with valid
IIW certification
to oversee welding processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support continuous improvements in fabrication and production operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, hands-on shop floor exposure, and the ability to guide teams on welding best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and approve
    Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
    ,
    Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
    , and
    Welder Qualification Tests (WQT)
    .
  • Ensure compliance with international welding standards such as
    ASME
    ,
    AWS
    ,
    ISO
    , and client-specific requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize welding processes to improve
    quality, productivity, and cost efficiency
    .
  • Provide technical support to production, quality, and maintenance teams.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote safe working practices.
  • Train and mentor welders and supervisors on process improvements and new welding techniques.
  • Maintain documentation, records, and audit requirements related to welding operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of
    welding processes
    (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW, etc.).
  • Good understanding of
    metallurgy, welding metallurgy, and material behaviors
    .
  • Hands-on experience in
    fabrication, structural steel, pressure vessels, piping
    , or heavy engineering.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and welding symbols.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
