Department: Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Position Summary:

The Senior Resident in Obstetrics & Gynaecology will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients under the supervision of consultants, assisting in surgeries and deliveries, managing OPD/IPD, and participating in academic and research activities within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Conduct daily rounds in IPD and labor wards; monitor patient progress.
• Attend and manage emergency obstetric and gynaecological cases.
• Assist in and perform normal deliveries, caesarean sections, and other surgical procedures.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care of patients.
• Provide consultation in OPD under supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation.

Academic & Training:

• Participate in clinical teaching for interns and junior residents.
• Attend and contribute to departmental academic activities such as seminars, CMEs, journal clubs, and case discussions.
• Assist in research activities and clinical audits within the department.

Administrative Duties:

• Comply with hospital policies regarding patient care, infection control, documentation, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with nursing staff, technicians, and other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in duty rosters, on-call schedules, and any assigned departmental responsibilities.

Qualification & Experience:

• MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI)/State Medical Council.
• 03 years of post-PG clinical experience in a reputed institution/hospital preferred.
