Responsibilities :

  • Define and maintain the overall architecture of the Windchill PLM platform, including its integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Design and implement Windchill customizations, configurations, and extensions to meet specific business requirements.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and stability of the Windchill environment through proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Develop and maintain Windchill data models, workflows, lifecycles, and security models.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Windchill development and administration teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their PLM needs and translate them into architectural solutions.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Windchill upgrades, migrations, and patches.
  • Define and enforce Windchill best practices, standards, and governance policies.
  • Design and implement integrations between Windchill and other enterprise systems such as ERP, CAD, MES, and CRM.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the Windchill platform.
  • Evaluate new Windchill features and functionalities and recommend their adoption based on business value.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to the Windchill architecture and configurations.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools and solutions that integrate with Windchill.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations within the Windchill environment.
  • Provide technical training and support to Windchill users and Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windchill PLM platform architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Proven experience in defining and documenting Windchill architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Windchill data models, workflows, lifecycles, and security models.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Mandatory Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Windchill PLM architecture, including server-side and client-side components.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing Windchill customizations and configurations using Windchill APIs, Java, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Windchill data management principles and best practices.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Windchill workflows and lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in Windchill security administration and access control.
  • Experience with Windchill performance tuning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of Windchill integration capabilities and experience with integrating Windchill with other enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with Windchill deployment and administration tasks.
  • Experience with database concepts and SQL.Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with specific Windchill modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, PartsLink, or Service Information Manager.
  • Knowledge of CAD integration with Windchill (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with Windchill reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Windchill extensions and add-on modules.
  • Experience with cloud-based deployment of Windchill (on AWS or Azure).
  • Knowledge of PLM best practices and industry standards.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Windchill certifications are a plus.
