Purchase Officer

Job Location: Powai, Mumbai (Strictly work from office)
Job Description:
- Management of vendor identification, procurement, inventory, invoicing for all B2B purchases.
- Coordinates purchasing activities with sales & logistics departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Requesting for quote from suppliers and processes purchase orders.
- Arranging documents for vendor registration with various vendors.
- Maintain supplier database and develop a supplier rating system.
- May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing.
- Interacting closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues.
- Defective Stock Oversight: Successful monitoring of defective stock generation at warehouse, ensuring timely returns and replenishment.
- Find new packaging ideas.
- Supporting finance team for Invoice tracking, payment and provisioning.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 year experience as a sourcing or buyer
- The role may require travel to supplier premises in and outside Mumbai
- Excellent English proficiency
- Highly motivated and self-starter
- Able to perform well under pressure / deadline/ timelines
