Job Summary

The AML Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves monitoring transactions, identifying suspicious activities, and implementing effective AML frameworks to mitigate financial crime risks.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, implement, and maintain the company's AML and CTF compliance program.

· Conduct ongoing risk assessments related to money laundering and financial crime.

· Monitor customer transactions to detect unusual or suspicious activity.

· Review and escalate suspicious activity reports (SARs) to the MLRO or the reporting officer.

· Ensure adherence to KYC/CDD (Know Your Customer / Customer Due Diligence) procedures.

· Conduct regular compliance audits and reviews.

· Keep up-to-date with evolving regulatory changes, including FATF, FCA, FinCEN, RBI or local AML guidelines.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or related field.

Minimum [3–5] years of experience in AML/Compliance within financial services or fintech.

Strong understanding of AML/CTF laws and regulatory frameworks (FATF, FCA, RBI, FINCEN, etc., depending on jurisdiction).

Experience in KYC, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening systems.

Certification in AML – Compliance preferred.

Proficiency in compliance or AML software tools
