Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Specialist to provide expert guidance and support to our Oracle DBA team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Oracle database technologies and will play a key role in critical projects including database migrations, encryption implementations, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the migration of Oracle 11.6 databases to 19C using Oracle Data Guard.
  • Implement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) across Oracle environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Oracle database issues.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Oracle DBAs.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to understand requirements, communicate updates, and proactively highlight risks or blockers.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Oracle database systems.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts for database automation and monitoring.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1012 years of hands-on experience in Oracle database administration and support.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c, Data Guard, and TDE.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, backup/recovery strategies, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix and Solaris environments.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with clients, manage expectations, and deliver solutions proactively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Experience in cloud-based Oracle deployments (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools.
