Job Title: Draftsman

Location: Greater Noida

Department: Engineering

Reporting to: Plant Head

Experience Required: 2-4 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks based on design concepts, engineering sketches, and specifications.
  • Create and update mechanical part drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including BOMs (Bill of Materials), exploded views, and part numbering.
  • Ensure all drawings and models comply with relevant industry and company standards.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and production teams to understand requirements and ensure design feasibility.
  • Modify designs based on feedback, design changes, or process improvements.
  • Manage drawing revisions and maintain document control procedures.
  • Assist in prototype development and coordinate with vendors for outsourced components (if applicable).
  • Generate DXF/STEP/IGES files for CNC, laser cutting, or 3D printing applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Draftsmanship (or related discipline).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D Drafting, 3D Modelling, Assembly, Simulation tools).
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, and sheet metal components is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
