Job description:

Profile - Plant Operator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor daily plant machinery used in pesticide formulation, filling, and packaging.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production targets.
  • Coordinate with the production and QA team to maintain quality and compliance standards.
  • Monitor raw material and packaging material availability; report shortages.
  • Manage routine cleaning and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Follow safety, health, and environmental guidelines strictly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for batch processing and shift operations.
  • Assist with material movement and inventory management in the warehouse.
  • Supervise loading/unloading, storage, and dispatch of goods as per FIFO/LIFO systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in plant operations within the pesticide/agrochemical industry.
  • Knowledge of formulation processes (liquid, powder, granule) and packaging machinery.
  • Experience with warehouse operations and inventory handling.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, PPE, and hazardous material handling.
  • Ability to maintain production records and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/ITI/Graduate in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel/Word) for report maintenance is a plus.

Preferred Candidate:

  • Experience in pesticide/chemical manufacturing plants.
  • Should be physically fit and ready to work in a shift-based environment.
