Job Summary:

The Project Operations Trainee will support the project management and engineering teams in the execution of Oil & Gas consultancy projects. The role involves coordination between clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely documentation, compliance, and delivery of project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, tracking, and coordinating project activities and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and logs.
  • Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and internal departments for drawing reviews, approvals, and submissions.
  • Monitor project progress and update status reports for client and management review.
  • Support the engineering team in reviewing technical drawings (P&IDs, layouts, etc.) and ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  • Manage document control — ensure accurate filing, version control, and record maintenance.
  • Assist in preparing material submittals, RFIs, and transmittals as per project requirements.
  • Handle communication with clients and consultants professionally, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
  • Track project correspondence, manage approvals, and support QA/QC documentation.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and support project closure documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / Master
    's
    Degree in Chemical / Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's in project management
    .
  • 0–2 years of experience in project operations, project coordination, or similar roles (preferably in Oil & Gas or engineering consultancy).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of
    design and analysis softwares
    is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a proactive approach to tasks.
