Job Summary

The Duty Doctor for EECP Treatment is responsible for providing medical oversight and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing EECP therapy. This role involves coordinating with clinical staff, assessing patient suitability for EECP, monitoring patient progress during treatment, and handling any medical emergencies or complications that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment and Eligibility:
  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations to determine patient eligibility for EECP treatment.
  • Review patient medical histories, current medications, and any underlying health conditions.
  • Treatment Oversight:
  • Monitor patients during EECP sessions to ensure treatment protocols are followed.
  • Address any patient concerns or complications during treatment.
  • Ensure that EECP equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
  • Patient Safety and Emergency Response:
  • Be prepared to handle any medical emergencies or complications that occur during treatment.
  • Administer emergency care as needed and coordinate with emergency response teams if necessary.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Work closely with nursing staff, technicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in the EECP process.
  • Communicate treatment plans and updates to patients and their families.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment sessions, responses to treatment, and any adverse events.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and medical center policies regarding patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Education and Patient Support:
  • Educate patients and families about the EECP treatment process, benefits, and potential risks.
  • Provide guidance on post-treatment care and follow-up appointments.

Job Type: Full-time
