Job Description

Propulsion Intern

  • Propeller Design & Optimization: Work on designing, analyzing, and optimizing propellers for drone applications, considering aerodynamics, efficiency, and structural integrity.
  • Propulsion Testing & Analysis: Conduct propulsion system testing, including motor, ESC, and propeller performance evaluation, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
  • Vibration Improvement: Analyze and mitigate vibrations in propulsion systems to enhance stability, efficiency, and durability.
  • Technology Development: Contribute to the advancement of propulsion-related technologies, including innovative mechanisms, material selection, and structural enhancements.
  • Performance Enhancement: Identify and implement solutions to optimize thrust, power consumption, and overall propulsion system effectiveness.

Collaboration and development:

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including aerodynamics, structures, and control systems, to ensure seamless propulsion integration.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring timely execution and continuous learning.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test results, analyses, and design improvements for future reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in UAV propulsion systems, aerodynamics, and material technologies.

This role provides an opportunity to take initiative, learn, and contribute to cutting-edge drone propulsion advancements.

Skills

Strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, propulsion systems, and vibration analysis.

Knowledge of propeller dynamics, motor-ESC integration, and thrust performance evaluation.

Basic understanding of vibration analysis for rotating components is a plus

Familiarity with Arduino or similar microcontrollers for sensor integration, data acquisition, and propulsion system control is a plus

Experience with programming/scripting (Python, MATLAB) for data processing, automation, and optimization is a plus.

Familiarity in CAD software (Creo, or similar) for propeller and propulsion component design.
