The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic academic professional with a strong foundation in analytics and a passion for applying data-driven methods to solve business problems. The role requires a balance of teaching excellence, applied research, and industry engagement to prepare future managers for the data-centric business world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses such as
    Foundations of Big Data
    ,
    Machine Learning for Managers
    ,
    AIML
    , and related subjects.
  • Design, update, and deliver course content that reflects current industry practices and emerging technologies.
  • Incorporate experiential learning through case studies, simulations, live projects etc
  • Engage in scholarly research, consulting, or industry-based projects that bridge academia and practice.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, program review, and academic quality enhancement activities.
  • Participate actively in seminars, workshops, and institutional initiatives promoting innovation and analytics-driven management education.

Required Skill Sets and Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and modelling.
  • Working knowledge of Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark) and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of Machine Learning techniques and their managerial applications in areas such as marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Strong grasp of statistical analysis and data interpretation for decision-making.
  • Applied and Pedagogical Competence:
  • Ability to link analytical tools with business strategy and decision-making contexts.
  • Experience in using experiential teaching methods and industry-oriented assignments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and integrating emerging technologies into the classroom.
  • Professional and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or related discipline (or near completion).
  • Candidates with an MBA/M.Tech/M.Sc. in a relevant specialization and significant academic or industry experience in analytics may also be considered.
