The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.

There's never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Who You Are

You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

• Having 7+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Linux system administration. 

• Strong expertise in Linux clustering technologies (e.g., GPFS, HA clusters). 

• Experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Oracle Linux. 

• Knowledge of patch management, kernel updates, and OS-level upgrades. 

• Familiarity with performance tuning and capacity management of Linux servers. 

• Strong understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, and problem management). 

• Good knowledge of shell scripting for automation and system tasks. 

• Ability to manage and lead a team of Linux administrators. 

• Lead administration and management of Oracle Linux environments. 

• Perform OS-level preventive maintenance, patching, and kernel/firmware updates. 

• Monitor system performance, utilization, and availability; implement tuning strategies. 

• Manage and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests related to Linux systems. 

• Implement and support clustered environments (e.g., GPFS, Oracle RAC, HA solutions). 

• Ensure compliance with security policies through OS hardening and vulnerability remediation. 

• Manage change management activities (raising, implementing, and closing RFCs). 

• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for escalations and technical support. 

• Provide technical leadership to L2/L3 Linux administrators. 

• Prepare and publish operational and performance reports. 

• Participate in OS-related projects, upgrades, migrations, and high-availability designs.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience :

• Exposure to RHEL, CentOS, or SUSE Linux in addition to Oracle Linux. 

• Experience with storage integration in clustered environments. 

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) for Linux workloads.

• Certifications in Oracle Linux or Red Hat Linux administration
