Azure Architect

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Azure Architect in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade cloud solutions in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You will define cloud strategy, build scalable and secure architectures, and guide hybrid or multi-cloud implementations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure best practices in automation, DevOps, and infrastructure as code are applied consistently. You will provide technical leadership to cloud engineers, oversee governance, and optimize cloud operations for performance, security, and cost-efficiency. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic planning and mentorship, allowing you to shape cloud adoption and transformation initiatives at scale. Your contributions will directly impact operational excellence, innovation, and business outcomes across cloud projects.

Accountabilities:

• Define and drive Azure architecture strategy, standards, and best practices across cloud projects.
• Design secure, scalable, and cost-optimized Azure and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Architect and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, alongside CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead initiatives involving AKS, containerization, serverless architectures, and automation.
• Ensure security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks are implemented effectively.
• Mentor cloud engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and ensure delivery excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions.

• 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in Azure architecture and cloud engineering.
• Deep expertise in Azure compute, networking, storage, security, and DevOps practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with IaC, automation, and scripting (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, CLI).
• Experience with AKS, containerization, serverless technologies, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Proven experience in large-scale Azure migrations and multi-region deployments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: Experience with Azure Arc, ExpressRoute, FinOps, and adherence to the Well-Architected Framework.
• Certifications: AZ-305, AZ-400, with security and network certifications (AZ-500, AZ-700) preferred.
