Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Azure SQL Database Administrator

Database Cloud Administrators, Professionals are responsible for management, availability, security, and performance monitoring and optimization of database solutions. They evaluate and implement migration strategies for moving databases between Azure and on-premises.

Responsibilities:

Candidate should have level two of experience managing Azure hosted SQL database instances

Candidate should have experience in managing Manage instances, Azure VM's, DBaaS

Candidate should have strong experience in On-Prem to Azure cloud migrations

Candidate should have knowledge on upgrading Azure VM instances, & Manage instances

Responsible for maintaining existing databases with high-availability solutions, replication,

backup, restore, encryption, and disaster recovery solutions.

Configure & Monitor Performance/Storage/Memory alerts on all Production Azure Servers to

ensure high availability of data

Strong database migration experience.

Expertise and experience monitoring Azure workspaces, VM's, VM drives, Memory etc.

Expertise and experience creating MS Visio diagrams as they relate to MS SQL and database design

Ensuring all hardware and software are updated.

Assist to define data retention policies and automation.

Estimating storage cost and defining data storage strategies.

Work with Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control.

Support and Troubleshooting – Assist Operations Team with any environment issues during

application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.

Assist other teams and customers with troubleshooting problems that may arise from

applications or integration of various components

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Experienced

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Fluent English, oral and written

• Strong Analytical Thinking

• Excellent organizational – multitasking skills

• Flexibility, commitment, and ability to work under pressure, absolute integrity and utmost discretion

• Attention to detail, well organized, and able to set priorities

• Ability to anticipate, identify and solve critical problems and conflicts

Experience with Azure SQL in a multi-region configuration

Azure certifications highly desired such as AZ-900, DP-300

Experience in performing data migrations upgrades/modernizations, performance tuning on IaaS and PaaS Managed Instance and SQL Azure

Experience in documenting with Microsoft Visio

Experience with routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a databases
