Role & responsibilities:

To ensure that all products within Commercial Banking are developed, launched, and maintained in compliance with RBI regulations, internal quality standards, and customer expectations. The role focuses on embedding robust quality assurance and control mechanisms across the product lifecycle, mitigating operational and reputational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Quality Assurance
  • Define and implement quality benchmarks for Commercial banking products (e.g., loans, digital platforms).
  • Ensure defect-free product releases and monitor post-launch performance.

RBI Compliance Integration:

  • Ensure product design and delivery comply with RBI Master Directions, including:
  • KYC & AML Guidelines Implement robust identity verification and transaction monitoring systems.
  • Digital Banking & Cybersecurity Norms – Adhere to IT governance, data protection, and incident response protocols.
  • Fraud Risk Management – Support frameworks for early detection, reporting, and mitigation of fraud.
  • Capital Adequacy & Prudential Norms – Align product risk profiles with regulatory capital requirements.
  • Customer Protection – Ensure fair practices, grievance redressal mechanisms, and transparent disclosures.

Control Framework & Governance

  • Establish and monitor control processes across product workflows.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and control testing.
  • Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external audits.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure product integrity.
  • Provide quality and compliance inputs during product ideation, design, and go-live phases.

Act as a control partner to product managers, ensuring adherence to RBI and internal standards
