Role & responsibilities

Your role

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join Customer Identity & Access Management to drive key initiatives for our business divisions globally.

  • Own the product backlog and act as the voice of the customer and business in the agile delivery team.
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and strategy for client-facing identity services such as registration, login, MFA, QR login, biometrics, and passwordless authentication.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (business, security, compliance, technology) to gather requirements and align priorities.
  • Break down high-level business needs into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with engineers, testers, architects, and UX designers to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security standards, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PSD2), and regional requirements.
  • Continuously refine backlog based on feedback, user analytics, and market trends.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in digital identity, staying up to date on industry trends and innovations.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and work with other product owners to deliver integrated CIAM solutions.
  • Present product updates, roadmaps, and delivery progress to senior leadership and governance boards.

Your team

You'll be working in the Customer Identity & Access Management Team which is part of Identity & Access Management. This role specifically is aligned with our External Authentication products which provide solutions for UBS clients globally. In CIAM we organize our teams in PODs that have the mix of skills required to deliver our solutions. While we are focused on technical delivery our PODs have a mix of skills and roles.

Your expertise

  • 12+ years of overall experience with at least 3 years in a product ownership or product management role, preferably in digital identity, cybersecurity, or financial services.
  • Technical background in IAM architecture or security is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of CIAM capabilities including user onboarding, identity verification, MFA, SSO, and consent management.
  • Robust stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Agile practices and practical experience with DevOps, CICD and SRE would be beneficial
  • Experience with modern Agile delivery practices (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab.
  • Familiarity with identity platforms (e.g., ForgeRock, Ping Identity, Okta, Transmit Security) is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML) and digital identity standards.
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks applicable to digital identity.
  • Certifications in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM), Agile delivery or security (e.g. CISSP) would be useful for the role
