Music Teacher

*Position Title:* School Music Teacher (Instrumental)

*Location:* SETH ANANDRAM JAIPURIA SCHOOL, AMETHI

*Position Type:* Full-Time/Part-Time

*Reports To:* Principal/Head of Music Department

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Instrumental Music Teacher to join our dynamic arts department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching instrumental music to students of various ages and skill levels, fostering a love for music, and helping students achieve their musical potential.

• *Instruction:*

• Plan and deliver engaging, comprehensive lessons in instrumental music for elementary, middle, and/or high school students.

• Teach various instruments, including but not limited to [list instruments].

• Develop individualized learning plans to accommodate different skill levels and learning styles.

• Prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions.

• *Program Development:*

• Design and implement a curriculum that meets state and national music education standards.

• Organize and lead school concerts, music festivals, and other performances.

• Collaborate with other music and arts faculty to create interdisciplinary projects and events.

• *Student Support:*

• Provide guidance and support to students in selecting appropriate instruments and music literature.

• Offer additional support and tutoring for students needing extra help.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

• *Administrative Duties:*

• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities.

• *Education and Certification:*

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field (Master's preferred).

• Valid state teaching certification in Music.

• *Experience:*

• Previous experience teaching instrumental music at the K-12 level.

• Proficiency in at least one primary instrument and working knowledge of multiple instruments.

• Experience in conducting ensembles, orchestras, or bands is highly desirable.

• *Skills and Abilities:*

• Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and pedagogy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students.

• Organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching music.
