Designation: Senior Software Engineer II

Experience: 5-8 Yrs
Education: B.E/B.Tech
Location: CV Raman Nagar, Bagmane Tech Park, Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and debug source code which includes:

    • Developing web applications HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#
    • Data driven Web Services for IIS and MS-SQL
    • Create and consume RESTful API calls as per requirements
    • Developing user-friendly front-end web applications using Angular.

  2. Develop SSRS reports as per client requirement. Requirements collection from internal and external clients and documentation. Design, document, develop, optimize, and perform performance tuning of custom applications. Unit testing and debugging of applications in various stages of development life cycle.

  3. Work collaboratively with peers in all the stages of the development life cycle. Write, review and recommend optimization techniques for SQL queries and stored procedures. Produce documentation of code functionality and features consistently throughout the development cycle. Participate proactively in requirements analysis and design reviews. Perform peer code reviews to discover issues and recommend changes that improve software quality.

  4. Keeping a positive attitude and contribute to team effort. Perform additional software development duties as required. Mentor Junior Software Engineers.

  5. Participate in code reviews, assist in testing the developed software, and provide support.

Must have Skills:

  1. Experience creating multi-threaded applications using C#, .NET Framework, and MS-SQL

    • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, jQuery, Angular
    • Knowledge of IIS and experience in creating and consuming web services

  2. Experience in creating Point of Sale or Shopping cart applications is a major plus

    • Experience in developing complex custom reports using SSRS
    • Experience in developing RS232/USB drivers for various device components is a major plus
    • Experience in MS-SQL, Entity framework, LINQ (SQL commands, Triggers, Stored Procedures) is a plus

  3. Troubleshooting and problem solving of MS-SQL server and databases is a plus

    • Must have proven experience in a process-oriented development environment with excellent knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Proven track record of producing high-quality software
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and resolve software issues in a timely manner
