We are seeking an experienced Manual Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in testing both web applications and backend services, including APIs, databases, and microservices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive manual test plans, ensuring high-quality software delivery through rigorous testing practices. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management, to drive quality across all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the QA Lead and Product Management teams to analyse business requirements and technical specifications in order to define effective test cases and test plans.

Identify, log, and manage defects using tracking tools such as JIRA.

Perform testing in a fast-paced Agile environment, ensuring solutions align with requirements and acceptance criteria.

Develop and execute functional, performance, and ETL/integration tests to maintain quality and scalability across Web application, API and database.

Conduct regression testing for the overall product and provide detailed execution reports.

Adhere to Agile methodologies and project-defined processes.

Write, execute, and automate SQL queries (SQL Server, MySQL) for data validation and testing.

Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) for continuous testing and real-time feedback.

Design and implement automation test flows, applying problem-solving and debugging skills.

Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for backend systems, including GraphQL/RESTful APIs and microservices (preferred).

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Minimum 4+ years of QA experience, with at least 1-2 years in automation(Web/API).

Strong experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing complex SQL queries.

Solid hands-on experience in manual testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar.

Understanding and execution of performance testing of Web Application/API is a plus

Experience in data-driven and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks is a plus.

Familiarity with Karate Framework or Katalon for API automation is a plus.

Previous experience working with USA/European clients is an advantage.

Experience in multi-vendor, multi-cultural, distributed onshore/offshore teams is beneficial.

Ability to present technical suggestions and explain automation strategies effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
