The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager, to lead our growing Finance & Tax Retainership Services / VCFO Services vertical within the Finance & Tax domain. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, excellent client relationship skills, and a strong ability to manage and grow a team. This role offers the opportunity to drive delivery excellence, grow client relationships, and play a key part in expanding our retainership portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Lead and manage relationships with 15+ retainership clients, ensuring high-quality delivery, proactive communication, and client satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 5–7 Commerce graduates, building capability, improving delivery timelines, and maintaining team motivation and performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Be the go-to expert in accounting, compliance, and tax related advisory and execution, ensuring technical soundness in all deliverables.
  • P&L Ownership: Take ownership of the vertical's Profit & Loss, ensuring profitability, billing hygiene, and resource optimization.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell services, participate in pitches, and build relationships with potential clients to drive growth in the retainership base.
  • Process Excellence: Strengthen delivery SOPs, implement best practices, and ensure efficient client onboarding, documentation, and delivery systems.

Skills Required:

  • Hands-on experience with a B. Com qualification and 6-10 years of relevant experience, or a semi-qualified CA with 8+ years.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting standards, direct and indirect taxes, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience in client servicing and team management.
  • Commercially savvy approach with the ability to handle P&L.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ownership mindset.
