Foreman - Shuttering/Reinforcement

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the scaffold system as per stability and support requirement of RCC structures as per drawing and site conditions.
• Study drawings and understand sequence of scaffold, shuttering and de-shuttering.
• Asses the quantity and sizes of scaffold material and shuttering material required.
• Supervise and guide Scaffolders and Carpenters to execute shuttering in line, level and desired workmanship.
• Coordinating with site engineer/ Sr Engineer for any clarification or guidance to ensure first time right work.
• Check the scaffold for stability during concreting, lateral stability for movement during concreting and safety of access provided for workforce, etc.
• Check the shuttering works for line, level and water tightness before giving clearance for reinforcement laying. Ensure sides are anchored properly for staying firm during concreting.
• Check verticality and placement of tie rods for columns and ensure lateral support to maintain alignment during concreting.
• Supervise scaffold and shuttering during concreting to observe and take corrective action for any sign of bulging or settlement.
• Ensure sequential dismantling and proper stacking of material during de-shuttering process.
• Keep a check on material availability at site and requisition well in time as per work requirement.
• Ensure targeted repetitions and optimum use of shuttering material.
• Minimize material wastage.
• Take care of regular Housekeeping.
