Role Overview
The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for managing and securing the companys IT infrastructure across corporate offices, multiple branches, and project sites. This includes cloud platforms, on-premises systems, network security, vendor management, automation, and end-user support. The role requires expertise in enterprise-grade IT operations, with the ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems
- Administer and optimize hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, on-prem Windows/Linux servers).
- Manage networking across multiple locations including VPNs, firewalls, and secure remote access for branch offices and project sites.
- Oversee domain, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and storage solutions.
- Implement and monitor robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
Cybersecurity
- Lead enterprise security operations, including firewalls, endpoint security, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management.
- Enforce security compliance standards across all sites, including physical security of IT equipment at branches and project sites.
- Perform regular security audits and risk assessments.
Operations & Support
- Manage patch cycles for OS, applications, and security updates across all systems with minimal downtime.
- Support and maintain enterprise printers, scanners, video conferencing systems, and collaboration tools.
- Ensure reliable IT support to field teams and site offices.
- Implement centralized monitoring for uptime, performance, and usage analytics.
Automation & Development Support
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Support AI/ML model deployment environments and ensure their integration with core systems.
- Coordinate with data engineering teams for data warehousing and analytics infrastructure.
Vendor & Asset Management
- Handle vendor evaluation, onboarding, contract negotiation, and SLA monitoring.
- Maintain IT asset inventory across all offices, sites, and warehouses.
- Coordinate procurement, warranty tracking, and lifecycle management.
Governance & Process
- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and technical manuals.
- Drive ITIL-based service management processes for incident, problem, and change management.
- Train and guide junior IT staff and ensure knowledge transfer.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or related field / MCA / MSc Computers / Systems
- 5–10 years' experience in enterprise-level system administration.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Windows Server, Linux, networking.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation.
- Experience with multi-branch, multi-site IT setups.
- Proven vendor and stakeholder management skills.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- CompTIA Security+ / CISSP
- ITIL Foundation Certification
