A firefighting engineer designs, implements, and maintains fire protection and suppression systems for buildings and projects to ensure compliance with safety codes and protect life and property.

responsibilities

  • Design and Engineering: Create and implement fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems, by designing, calculating, and sketching plans.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments to identify hazards and determine the appropriate safety measures to mitigate them.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all fire safety designs and measures comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems from planning to completion, coordinating with project managers, architects, and contractors.
  • System Maintenance: Inspect and maintain existing fire systems to ensure they are functional and efficient.
  • Consulting: Provide expert guidance and technical support to clients and stakeholders on fire safety measures and system performance.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review reports, plans, and specifications related to fire protection and life safety.
  • Investigation: Conduct fire investigations and provide expert testimony in legal cases related to fire safety.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge of fire behavior, building codes, and fire protection engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical proficiency in fire protection system design and modeling.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams like architects and contractors.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with complex regulations.
  • Should have the experience of minimum 2 - 3 years.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35, ₹40,000.00 per month
