Role-Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer

Exp-4+ Year

Location-Pan India

N.P- immedite to 2 Month

JD-

  1. Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer Required Skill set

  2. Extensive SMP/E knowledge

  3. Knowledge on REXX, assembler, JCL
  4. Strong knowledge of WLM, RMF, CA Products, HCD
  5. Experienced at troubleshooting performance issues in a z/OS environment
  6. Working experience in a multi-CPU & Sysplex environment
  7. VTAM/TCPIP Network administration
  8. Working knowledge of other sub systems like DB2, ADABAS, IMS, CICS
  9. Knowledge of working in Multi-Processor / Multi-LPAR environment and SYSPLEX
  10. Knowledge of Mainframe Disks, replication and tools such as CSM
  11. Storage administration such as initializing disks, re-organizing files and updating SMS definitions would be advantageous

Key Activities Performed

  • Install, upgrade, maintain and customise the z/OS operating system covering z/OS, RACF, JES2, VTAM, TCP/IP, HCD, WLM.
  • Install, upgrade, maintain and customise other z/OS related IBM and OEM products.
  • Perform SMP/E tasks.
  • Work with multi-CPU & Sysplex environment
  • Apply planned maintenances, monitor product PTFs to make sure the products are up to date
  • Work with REXX Scripts, Assembler, JCL
  • Top Secret/ACF2/RACF PTF Implementations
  • Proactively monitor z/OS and related software and to take action to prevent potential issues and to maximise performance.
  • To improve such monitoring and increase automation where possible.
  • To maintain robustness of the configuration and to maintain and test the mainframe DR solution.
  • To produce technical recommendations and service and stability improvements in line with business requirements.
  • Gather information and produce reports to satisfy client and vendor requirements such as SCRT reporting.Role & responsibilities
