    1. Academic Leadership
  • Provide overall academic direction and ensure the implementation of the pharmacy curriculum as per PCI/AICTE/University norms.
  • Oversee development of teaching–learning methodologies and promote innovative instructional strategies.
  • Ensure timely conduct of classes, examinations, evaluations, and academic audits.
  • Promote continuous faculty development and encourage research, publications, and participation in conferences.
    1. Administrative Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day academic and administrative operations of the institution.
  • Maintain discipline among students, staff, and faculty.
  • Implement institutional policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Manage timetables, academic calendars, workload distribution, and departmental coordination.
  • Oversee infrastructure management such as laboratories, classrooms, library, and campus facilities.
  • Create SIF Report and Manage all the Documentation Related Works
    1. Regulatory and Compliance Duties
  • Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), AICTE, University, and State Government norms.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports, accreditation documents, and inspection files.
  • Ensure that laboratories, equipment, and Experiential Learning (Industrial training, Hospital internship) meet regulatory standards.
    1. Leadership & Strategic Planning
  • Set the vision and mission of the pharmacy college in alignment with institutional goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities, new programs, collaborations, and innovations.
  • Lead strategic planning for academic excellence, research development, and community outreach.
    1. Faculty Management
  • Recruit, evaluate, mentor, and appraise teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Foster a professional, ethical, and research-oriented work environment.
  • Conduct faculty meetings, workshops, and performance reviews.
    1. Student Development & Welfare
  • Address student academic, personal, and disciplinary issues.
  • Promote student participation in professional organizations (IPA, APTI, NSS, etc.).
  • Oversee training, placement, career counseling, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
  • Support extracurricular, co-curricular, and community service activities.
    1. Research & Institutional Development
  • Encourage faculty and student research projects.
  • Facilitate industry partnerships, MoUs, and consultancy services.
  • Promote funding applications (DST, DBT, AICTE, ICMR, etc.).
  • Oversee ethical compliance in research (Institutional Ethics Committee).
    1. Financial Oversight
  • Oversee budgeting, fund allocation, and financial planning.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of grants, resources, and institutional funds.
  • Authorize purchases, laboratory equipment, and overall expenditure.
    1. External Relations
  • Represent the college in university, government, and industry forums.
  • Build relationships with hospitals, industries, community pharmacies, and research centers.
  • Oversee alumni engagement and public outreach programs.
    1. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Implement internal quality assurance mechanisms (IQAC).
  • Monitor academic quality standards and learning outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of continual improvement through feedback systems, audits, and performance indicators.
