About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated AI Research Scientist to join our fully remote, innovative research and development team. This mid to senior-level role is crucial for advancing our core AI technology and translating cutting-edge academic research into robust, scalable product features. You will be responsible for conducting independent research, developing novel algorithms, and collaborating with engineering teams to deploy production-ready AI models.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct Advanced Research: Independently design, execute, and document research experiments in core AI domains such as Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, or Reinforcement Learning (RL), with a focus on delivering demonstrable, state-of-the-art results.

Algorithm Development: Invent, develop, and optimize novel machine learning and statistical models to solve complex, real-world business problems and push the boundaries of current technology.

Prototyping and Implementation: Rapidly prototype research ideas, transforming theoretical concepts into functional, scalable, and efficient code using professional software engineering practices.

Publication and IP: Lead the preparation and submission of research papers to top-tier AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL) and journals, and contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio.

Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to ensure research efforts align with product roadmaps and are successfully integrated. Mentor and guide junior researchers and interns.

Stay Current: Maintain a deep understanding of the latest developments, trends, and technologies in the global AI research community.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 4 to 8 years of post-academic experience in an AI Research Scientist, Machine Learning Research, or Applied Scientist role, specifically focused on research and model development.

Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.

Technical Proficiency :

- Expert-level proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas).

- Extensive experience with major deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.

- Solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics).

- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for model training and deployment.

- Experience with Git and MLOps principles is highly desirable.

Research Track Record :

- A demonstrable history of independent research, as evidenced by a strong portfolio of projects, relevant patents, and/or high-quality publications in recognized peer-reviewed venues.

Soft Skills :

- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven ability to thrive in a fully remote and asynchronous work environment, demonstrating self-discipline and strong time management
