Role Overview:

As a Mobile Application Tester, you will be responsible for testing mobile applications across different devices, OS versions, and networks to identify bugs, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure that every release is reliable and user-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution

  • Analyze product requirements and user stories to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Execute manual and/or automated test cases across Android and iOS platforms
  • Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, and exploratory testing of mobile apps

Device & Platform Coverage

  • Test applications on a variety of devices (phones, tablets) and OS versions
  • Use emulators, simulators, and real devices to ensure cross-device compatibility
  • Validate app behavior under various conditions (low battery, poor network, background activity)

Bug Reporting & Validation

  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues
  • Conduct re-testing and validation of fixed issues in new builds/releases

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with automation tools like Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Detox
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and mobile build pipelines (Jenkins, Bitrise, etc.)
  • Familiarity with performance, load, or security testing tools
  • Experience with tools like Charles Proxy, Postman, or ADB
