Mother Teacher Job Summary:

The Trained Graduate Teacher Mother teacher will be responsible for teaching English to students in the [specified grade levels 1-3]. The role demands a highly qualified individual with a strong grasp of the English language, the ability to create an engaging classroom environment, and the capability to design and implement effective lesson plans to cater to diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:

    • Teach all the subjects and literature to students, following the prescribed syllabus and curriculum.
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that are interesting, engaging, and appropriate to the students' grade levels.
    • Integrate modern teaching techniques and technological tools to enhance student learning.
    • Facilitate both in-class and remote learning as per school requirements.

  2. Assessment & Evaluation:

    • Regularly assess students' progress through quizzes, assignments, projects, and examinations.
    • Maintain accurate records of students' academic performance and provide feedback for improvement.
    • Conduct remedial classes for students needing extra support.

  3. Classroom Management:

    • Create a disciplined and focused classroom environment conducive to learning.
    • Encourage students' participation in discussions, debates, and presentations.
    • Manage student behavior with a positive approach, promoting respect, collaboration, and responsibility.

  4. Lesson Planning & Preparation:

    • Develop and implement detailed lesson plans and resources in line with the curriculum.
    • Set achievable learning outcomes for each lesson and evaluate student progress regularly.
    • Ensure that materials are well-organized, accessible, and updated.

  5. Parent-Teacher Communication:

    • Engage with parents during regular meetings and parent-teacher conferences to discuss students' progress, challenges, and behavior.
    • Provide constructive feedback to parents about their child's academic and behavioral development.

  6. Professional Development:

    • Attend training, workshops, and school meetings to improve teaching skills and stay updated with current educational practices.
    • Participate in curriculum development and school initiatives to enhance the learning experience.

  7. Co-Curricular Involvement:

    • Encourage student participation in co-curricular activities related to English, such as debates, drama, poetry competitions, and literary clubs.
    • Supervise and guide students in projects related to the English language.


Requirements
Qualifications:

  1. Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in English (BA/ B.A. Hons) from a recognized university.
    • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification

  2. Experience:

    • A minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably teaching English at the secondary level.
    • Familiarity with CBSE or other educational boards and their curricula is preferred.

  3. Skills:

    • Excellent command over the English language (both written and verbal).
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to create a student-centered and engaging learning environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
    • Proficiency in using educational technologies and digital tools for teaching.
