Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior IP & Firewall Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced network security solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IP networking, firewall configurations, and security policies, ensuring enterprise network infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and resilient against threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise firewall solutions (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper, pfsense.) and security appliances.
  • Develop and enforce IP routing, NAT, VPNs, and access control policies across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
  • Conduct network security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor network traffic and logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application teams to define secure network architecture and policies.
  • Manage firewall rule sets, network segmentation, and VPNs ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in incident response, forensic analysis, and remediation of network security breaches.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on firewall and IP security best practices.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new security tools and technologies.

Maintain detailed documentation for network topology, security policies, configurations, and procedures

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper).
  • Experience in configuring NAT, access control lists (ACLs), VPNs, and IDS/IPS integration.
  • Proficient in network monitoring, logging, SIEM integration, and threat detection tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex network/security issues.

  • Industry certifications preferred:

  • CCNP Security / CCIE Security

  • CISSP / CISM / CEH
  • Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto PCNSE / Check Point CCSA / CCSE
