Role Description

This is a contract, hybrid role for a Junior API Developer, based in Pune with some flexibility for remote work. The Junior API Developer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and troubleshooting API integrations and systems. Day-to-day tasks will include writing efficient and scalable code, testing and debugging APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining technical documentation. The role also involves working on the implementation of new features and ensuring optimal performance and security of APIs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java for API development
  • Experience with API frameworks and libraries, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Knowledge of database management systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to debug, test, and optimize APIs to ensure quality and performance
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
