We are hiring Civil Engineer - Design & Estimation for CBG project.

Position Summary:

The Civil Design and Estimation Engineer is a critical role responsible for designing, planning, and estimating civil infrastructure for industrial projects, including anaerobic digestion plants, compressed biogas (CBG) plants, and material recovery facilities (MRF). This position combines technical expertise with cost management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Develop detailed civil designs for plant infrastructure, including foundations, drainage systems, and access roads.

2. Optimize layouts for process areas, storage, and utility systems.

3. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.

4. Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works, including material, labor, and overheads.

5. Assist in budgeting and financial planning for construction phases.

6. Conduct site visits for assessment and feasibility studies.

7. Analyze soil reports, topographical data, and environmental conditions.

8. Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.

9. Ensure designs comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

10. Design of biogas reactor tanks and thermal hydrolysis systems.

11. IS Codes for Concrete, Steel, and Soil Mechanics (e.g., IS 456, IS 800, IS 6403).

Desired Profile:

1. Degree qualified in a civil engineering discipline. M.tech Structural or Environmental Engineering added advantage

2. Must have experience of writing technical reports

3. Experience within the water industry essential

4. Ability to work on multiple assignments

5. Knowledge and / or experience with Causeway or other similar estimating software

Key Deliverables :

  1. Deliver error-free designs and drawings within agreed timelines, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.
  2. Maintain a variance of less than 5% between estimated and actual project costs while providing timely and detailed BOQs.
  3. Ensure 100% adherence to building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations during design and execution.
  4. Percentage of timely responses to contractor queries and clarifications.
  5. Completeness and clarity of design documents, BOQs, and technical reports.
