About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize websites using modern web technologies
  • Create responsive, user-friendly websites from design mockups
  • Customize and extend WordPress functionality through custom themes and plugins
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement SEO best practices
  • Ensure websites are optimized for performance, accessibility, and mobile devices
  • Manage website hosting environments and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Stay current with emerging web technologies and industry trends

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • 3+ years of professional web development experience
  • Strong proficiency in:
    HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
  • WordPress expertise:
    Custom theme development, plugin customization, hooks/filters
  • PHP development:
    Object-oriented programming and WordPress customization
  • Database management:
    MySQL query optimization and database design
  • Version control:
    Git workflow and collaborative development
  • Responsive design:
    Cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first approach

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks or )
  • Azure cloud platform:
    Experience with Azure App Services and Apache server configuration
  • API integration and RESTful web services
  • Performance optimization and caching strategies

Design & SEO Knowledge

  • Design collaboration tools:
    Figma, Zeplin, or similar
  • SEO fundamentals:
    On-page and technical SEO implementation
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and web accessibility standards
