Position: Java Backend Developer

Location: Mumbai & Gurgaon (Work from Office)

Experience: 5+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer experienced in building scalable, high-performance microservices using Quarkus, Spring, and modern backend technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java development, API design, and cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy backend applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus.

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems that are scalable, secure, and efficient.

  • Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

  • Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices.

  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.

  • Integrate backend services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.

  • Strong knowledge of Quarkus and Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

  • Proven experience in Microservices architecture and API design.

  • Solid understanding of REST, JSON, and HTTP protocols.

  • Experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA) and SQL/NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools.

  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Understanding of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.

  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).

  • Awareness of DevOps and API security best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
