Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Coimbatore

Experience: 3 – 5 years

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to process large-scale property data.
  • Collaborate with UK-based data analysts and developers to ensure smooth, clean data flow into dashboards and reports.
  • Develop and manage data lakes and data warehouses using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Databricks.
  • Write and maintain C# code for data orchestration, and contribute to shared repositories with best practices.
  • Integrate various data sources through APIs, Dataverse, ODBC, and other connectors.
  • Ensure data is well-modeled and optimized for Power BI performance and business intelligence use.
  • Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.

Deliverables:

Data Pipeline Development:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and in-house C# orchestration systems.
  • Transform raw property datasets into structured, usable formats for reporting and analytics.
  • Monitor data pipelines for performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations for scalability and reliability.

Data Architecture:

  • Develop and manage data lakes and data warehouses using Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL.
  • Ensure data models follow best practices for performance, security, and governance.
  • Integrate diverse data sources, including APIs, Dataverse, ODBC, and other connectors.

Collaboration & Coding:

  • Write clean, maintainable C# code, contribute to shared repositories, and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with UK-based Data Analysts and BI teams to deliver accurate and timely insights.
  • Prepare and shape data for Power BI dashboards and other business intelligence solutions.

Performance Reporting & Optimization:

  • Track data flow, system performance, and storage costs to ensure efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to data workflows and architecture.
  • Support stakeholders with documentation and guidance on data processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, backend development, or data orchestration.
  • Strong programming skills in C# and advanced knowledge of SQL (complex queries & performance tuning).
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience integrating diverse data sources (APIs, ODBC, connectors).
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Python, Dataverse, Power Platform, or experience in the property/real estate industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and strong communication skills.
