Role & responsibilities for Associate Professor and Professor

  • Deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Computer Science and related domains.
  • Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning methodologies.
  • Conduct high-impact research leading to publications, patents, or funded projects.
  • Participate in curriculum design, review, and outcome-based education (OBE) implementation.
    • Mentor faculty, research scholars, and students to enhance academic and research performance.
  • Contribute to departmental development, accreditation (NBA/NAAC), and quality assurance processes.
  • Engage in outreach, consultancy, and industry-institute collaboration activities.

Educational Qualifications and Experience (As per AICTE Norms)

For Associate Professor:


• Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology discipline.


• First Class or equivalent at Bachelors and Masters level in the relevant branch (Computer Science and Engineering / IT or related field).


• Minimum 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, of which at least 2 years shall be post-Ph.D. experience.


• At least 6 research publications in SCI/Scopus/WOS-listed journals.

For Professor:


• Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology discipline.


• First Class or equivalent at Bachelor's and Master's level in the relevant branch (Computer Science and Engineering / IT or related field). minimum 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at the level of Associate Professor.


• At least 10 research publications in SCI/Scopus/UGC-listed journals.

OR


• Should have successfully guided at least two Ph.D. scholars or be actively guiding doctoral research and 6 research publications in SCI/Scopus/WOS listed journals.
