Role Summary:

Responsible for end-to-end coordination, alignment, execution and management of functions of the Office of International Affairs at Ahmedabad University.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all events and activities of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Ahmedabad University under the direction of the head of the OIA
  • Proactively promote the participation of students, staff, & faculty in all events organized by OIA. And ensures that students are reached out through social media, well-structured emails, WhatsApp groups and other channels, to ensure maximum participation of the students.
  • Provide support to all international inbound/outbound student and faculty exchange programmes
  • Manages logistics, communication, visa, and hospitality for the participants
  • Complete all registration formalities for incoming international faculty and scholars on the FRRO Portal of the Government of India meticulously. This includes sourcing documents and information and uploading all the necessary paperwork on FRRO.
  • Assists OIA with international recruitment through participation in their relevant activities, identifying new target markets and coming up with innovative ideas to attract international students to the University.
  • Maintain files and documents for all current and past MoUs of the office with foreign partners, keeping track at all times of upcoming exchange opportunities and lapsing agreements
  • Keep track of all activities of OIA and prepare reports and other statutory/compliance paperwork related to the office at regular intervals
  • Create relevant data-collection forms to monitor activities of the Office, including student and scholar visits, and generate requisite reports from the collected data as required
  • Respond to students, staff, and faculty queries related to international higher education and exchange programmes
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the Office, including students, faculty, foreign partners, and other international higher education entities
  • Track announcements for international fellowships, scholarships, and funding sources for dissemination among University community through inclusion in OIA newsletter
  • Manages the social media account of the Office of International Affairs and promotes the various programmes being organised through the same. Publishes posts, reels, stories and other innovative content.
  • Provide support with general office administration

Qualification:

Graduate with one or three years of work experience in the international higher education industry. Fresh graduates with excellent communication skills may also apply.
