Café Assistant

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Ice Cream Shop Assistant to join our team. This role combines customer service with food preparation, ensuring a delightful experience for our customers and efficient shop operations. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about serving high-quality ice cream and assisting in the preparation of various desserts.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Duties:

Greeting and Welcoming: Greet customers warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.​

Order Taking: Accurately take customer orders, provide information about menu items, and make recommendations based on preferences.​

Payment Processing: Handle cash and electronic payments, ensuring accurate transactions and providing correct change.​

Customer Inquiries: Address customer questions and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.​

Dining Area Maintenance: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.​

Food Preparation Duties:

Dessert Preparation: Prepare and serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and other desserts as per the menu.​

Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels for ice cream, toppings, and other supplies, and assist in restocking when necessary.​

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.​

Experience: Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.​

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.​

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.​

Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.​

Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.​

Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the supervisor.​

Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain cleanliness in the preparation and service areas, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.​
