Role Description

  1. HR Management

Objective
: Ensure efficient management of human resources, fostering a productive work environment, and supporting employee development.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Oversee recruitment, staffing, and onboarding processes to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain a smooth and conflict-free work environment, addressing employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues.
  • Ensure timely processing of payroll, benefits, and other employee-related administrative tasks.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback for continuous employee development.
  • Monitor employee training and development programs to align with organizational goals.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
:

  • Time taken for hiring processes (TAT for recruitment)
  • Employee retention rate
  • Attendance and absenteeism rates
  • Training completion rates and effectiveness

2. Labour Management

Objective
: Ensure a stable and compliant workforce, minimize labor-related disputes, and optimize workforce utilization.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of labor resources on the plant floor.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and maintain proper documentation for all labor contracts.
  • Coordinate with the labor unions to maintain smooth industrial relations and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Implement and monitor shifts, work schedules, and manpower planning to maximize productivity.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
:

  • Reduction in labor-related disputes
  • Compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Workforce productivity metrics (output per labor hour)

3. Administration

Objective
: Ensure smooth administrative functioning, including facility management, resource allocation, and internal communications.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Oversee plant office management, including coordinating office supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Ensure plant infrastructure is well-maintained, including buildings, machinery, and utilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services and negotiating cost-effective contracts.
  • Manage internal communications, ensuring smooth flow of information between departments and management.

:

  • Cost savings on administrative functions and vendor contracts
  • Facility downtime or maintenance issues
  • Office supplies and resource utilization efficiency

4. Quality Assurance(QA)

Objective
: Ensure the production process complies with internal and external quality standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control systems and processes.
  • Work closely with the production and R&D teams to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Handle customer complaints related to quality and initiate corrective actions.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for quality enhancement.

  • Number of product defects or quality complaints
  • Quality audit pass rate
  • First-pass yield (FYP) rate

5. Quality Control (QC)

Objective
: Ensure the product meets the defined standards of quality and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Oversee daily product inspections and ensure production processes adhere to quality guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the QA team to identify areas for improvement and establish quality benchmarks.
  • Maintain proper records of quality control results and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Identify root causes for product deviations and recommend corrective actions.

  • Reduction in non-conformance rate
  • Product rework rates
  • Time taken to resolve quality issues

6. Regulatory Compliances

Objective
: Ensure the plant complies with all local, state, and national regulations and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Regularly review and update compliance documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and audit teams for inspections and certifications.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and renewals of licenses.

  • Timely completion of regulatory audits

7. Stock Management

Objective
: Ensure accurate and efficient management of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring timely procurement, storage, and use of raw materials.
  • Implement effective stock rotation systems (FIFO, LIFO) and minimize stock wastage.
  • Ensure regular stock audits and reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and records.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure proper stock levels for continuous production.

  • Inventory turnover rate
  • Stockouts or overstock incidents
  • Accuracy of stock records and audits

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement plant-wide strategies.
