Responsibilities
  • Shift operations management: Oversee daily production activities, ensuring the plant operates efficiently and meets all production targets. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any deviations promptly.
  • Manpower management: Plan and organize manpower for the shift, manage day-to-day responsibilities, and motivate the team to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Safety and compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct safety audits and lead the team in safe work practices.
  • Quality control: Monitor process parameters to ensure the segregated copper scrap meets quality standards. Implement corrective actions for any quality deviations.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with other departments such as maintenance, quality, and logistics to ensure a smooth workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed shift reports on production, quality, safety incidents, and equipment status. Maintain accurate operational logs and documentation. 
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in a plant operations role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or shift in-charge position, preferably in a metals or recycling facility.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing and process control. Experience with quality management systems (QMS), waste reduction strategies, and inventory control is a plus.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles is beneficial.
