Background of The Hans Foundation

The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

1. About the project:

The Hans Foundation supports HND School in Gurugram. HANS NAYI DISHA is a school for children from marginalized communities (NGO). We offer admission to children between the ages of 4.5 and 14, for Balwadi to class 5. We follow the NCERT

curriculum and prepare children for NIOS exams, and/or admission to other mainstream schools. The interventions in Balwadi will include - strengthening the quality of services in the Balwadi and Introduction of digital learning system at the centre.

Reporting Time – 09.30 am – 5:30pm (Monday – Saturday)

Leaves – HND Staff (Teachers) policy. If any event scheduled on Saturday/off day he/ she should report at the school accordingly.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Teaching Physical Education

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate PE lessons for all grade levels.
• Teach the fundamentals of physical fitness, sportsmanship, team coordination, and various sports.
• Incorporate fitness routines, games, drills, and activities that develop motor skills, strength, flexibility, and endurance.

2. Organizing Sports Activities

• Facilitate student participation in district, state, and national-level tournaments.
• Organize inter-house, inter-school, and intra-school sports competitions.
• Plan and manage Sports Day and other physical activity events.

3. Skill Development and Talent Identification

• Identify students with potential in specific sports and encourage focused training.
• Support student-athletes in balancing academics and sports commitments.
• Coordinate with external coaches or academies if needed for advanced training.

4. Health and Safety

• Ensure a safe play environment during all physical activities.
• Teach and reinforce rules of play, injury prevention, and proper use of sports equipment.
• Provide first aid or coordinate immediate care in case of sports injuries.

5. Maintaining Equipment and Facilities

• Oversee the inventory, maintenance, and proper usage of sports equipment.
• Ensure that sports infrastructure (e.g., playground, gym, courts) is safe and well-maintained.
• Recommend the purchase of new equipment when required.

6. Life Skills and Values Education

• promote values such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, resilience, and respect through sports.
• Use sports as a tool to build emotional and social intelligence among students.

7. Record Keeping and Evaluation

• Maintain records of student participation, performance, and physical fitness levels.
• Prepare reports for school leadership and parents as needed.
• Help assess student progress in physical education through tests or skill demonstrations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of beneficiaries, including examination details, student profiles, and related academic data.

8. Collaboration with School Staff

• Coordinate with class teachers to balance PE sessions with academics.
• Support school-wide wellness programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with health educators, counselors, and school leadership for holistic student development.

9. Professional Development

• Stay updated with latest teaching methods, rules of games, and sports education trends.
• Attend workshops, certifications, and training programs for continuous growth.

2. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Management, Sports Science, Business, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in sports consulting, coaching, performance analysis, or sports administration.

• Strong understanding of sports systems, performance analytics, and business operations in sports.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and sports performance software is a plus.
