Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chess Instructor to join our online education platform. As a Chess Instructor, you will inspire learners of all ages by teaching chess fundamentals, strategies, and advanced gameplay. You will lead virtual lessons that develop critical thinking, focus, and problem-solving while preparing students for both casual and competitive play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging online chess lessons covering fundamentals, openings, tactics, and endgames.
  • Personalize instruction based on students' age, skill level, and learning pace.
  • Promote logical reasoning, decision-making, and strategic thinking through gameplay.
  • Train and prepare students for local, national, and online chess tournaments.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Use digital tools (Zoom, , Lichess, etc.) to deliver interactive sessions.

Requirements

Educational Background

  • No formal degree required.
  • Chess certifications, tournament achievements, or FIDE ratings preferred.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in playing and/or teaching chess.
  • Strong ability to explain strategies in a simple, engaging manner.
  • Experience teaching children, teens, or adults.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and mentoring skills.
  • Passion for chess and education.

Technical Requirements

  • Active account on Lichess, , or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in using online chess tools and teaching software.
  • Stable internet connection and professional virtual teaching setup.
  • Experience conducting live sessions on Zoom.
