QC Microbiologist API / Pharmaceutical Formulation Industry

Job Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Microbial Limit Testing (MLT) for raw materials and finished products.
  • Conduct Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET) and Growth Promotion Test (GPT) of media.
  • Handle Identification, Isolation, and Preservation of microbial cultures.
  • Carry out Microbial Testing for Raw Water, Purified Water, and Distilled Water.
  • Conduct Environmental Monitoring using air sampling & settle plate methods.
  • Perform Swab Test Analysis for surface contamination checks.
  • Execute Calibration, Validation, and Documentation of laboratory instruments (Autoclave, LAF, Incubator, etc.).
  • Maintain laboratory documentation such as logbooks, protocols, and calibration reports.
  • Manage Media Preparation, Media Validation, and Media Destruction as per SOPs.
  • Perform Disinfectant Efficacy Test Validation and monitor Fumigation Activities.
  • Revise and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per compliance.
  • Ensure GMP and GLP compliance in all microbiological activities.

  • Knowledge of ISO, cGMP, and FDA Guidelines

Additional Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent understanding of microbiology laboratory safety and aseptic techniques.
  • Team-oriented, disciplined, and self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in maintaining calibration and validation documentation.

Qualification:

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Candidates with experience in API / Formulation / Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Must be familiar with Regulatory Audits (USFDA / WHO / MHRA).
  • Candidates from Boisar, Tarapur, Palghar, or nearby Maharashtra locations preferred.
  • Immediate joiners or candidates with 15 days notice will be given priority.
