Legal Manager

What You'll be doing:To draft, review, and vet a variety of legal documents including:Contribution AgreementsTrust Deeds / LLP Agreements (as applicable)Term sheets and side lettersNDA and confidentiality agreements
Ensure compliance with SEBI AIF Regulations, 2012 and other applicable laws. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (investment, compliance, operations, and finance teams) to ensure contract alignment with business objectives. Assist in the structuring and launch of new funds or schemes under AIFs.
Liaise with external legal counsels for specialized matters or litigation. Manage legal due diligence and assist in documentation related to fund investments and exits. Maintain a legal repository and track key obligations, renewal dates, and compliance timelines.
Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on existing fund structures and documentation
Requirements:Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) required; master's degree in law (LLM) preferred.Experience Requirement: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a managerial capacity.Other Requirements: - Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures
Proven ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents
